What is the 5 Corners web camera:

This is a unit that contains both a camera and a computer. It is mounted on the side of the Princess and the Pea B & B over looking 5 corners in Langley BC. 5 Corners is the intersection of the two township line roads ( 216 th Street and 48th Ave) plus the original Old Yale road.

Is this a web cam:

No, being both a camera and a computer all in one unit, this device allows you to connect directly to the camera with out going into some ones computer first . I.E. no chance of virus etc.

I only can see a grey picture nothing else:

The computer part of the 5 corners web camera can only provide a live video feed to a maximum of 100 people at any one time. If you are person 101 you get a grey picture.

I can only see a white square in the center of the page.

The 5 corners web camera uses Java to allow you to see the live images. If your computer does not have Java software then that might be one reason you would only see a white square. Some other reasons may be that there are large numbers of people all looking at the site at one time ( generally 75 to 100) When this happens the live feed slows down and it takes some time for the images to come through.
